Inclusive and adapted sailing

The Federació Catalana de Vela, the Barcelona Capital Nàutica Foundation and the Mi Alex Foundation are organizing the first edition of the Kakapo Open Race, an international adapted sailing regatta that seeks to attract athletes of this type to Barcelona and that has the will to celebrate it every year.

Barcelona celebrates the America’s Cup

The city will host the 37th edition of this regatta that will take place between August and October 2024. From the foundation we facilitate the organization of this event that promises to be one of the most intense America’s Cup in its 174 years of history.

RC Sailing Barcelona University Regatta

We have created a university scholarship for training in design and construction of a radio control boat aimed at students in the last year of the degree in engineering, to conceptualize, design and build a small-scale, competitive radio control boat, propelled by the wind, applying knowledge acquired during the course of the course.

Mini Class Solo Med regatta

This is a regatta for Class Mini 6.50 solo boats, which has already had three editions. This year’s edition has been co-organized by the Catalan Sailing Federation and Barcelona Capital Nàutica with the collaboration of Base Mini and Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, as the organizing club.

Optimist World Championship

This edition of the championship was held in the Bay of Roses from June 15 to 25, organized by the Ballena Alegre Sailing Club. We have collaborated on sustainable, family, inclusive and educational nautical proposals organized in three main areas: the Mediterranean Sea, Sailing and Nautical and we have participated in the “Conscious Fair”.

BaseMini FNOB Barcelona regatta (I)

The Base Mini FNOB regatta proposed a 420-mile two-leg route that traversed the smaller Balearic Islands as a warm-up preamble for the sailors heading to the Mini Transat 2019.

The regatta was included in the official 2021 calendar of the Mini Class in the Mediterranean, allowing participants to accumulate miles to qualify for the major challenge of the Mini Transat 2021.

Solo Med regatta (I)

More than 800 miles solo sailing, around Barcelona, the Balearic Islands, and the Valencian Community. By participating, sailors obtained the necessary miles to qualify for the Les Sabres-Azores Race, the most important event on the 2022 Atlantic calendar.

This is the second edition of this sports event organized by Barcelona Capital Nàutica in collaboration with Base Mini and Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita as the organizing club. The races in the event have been part of the qualifying circuit for the Mini Class 6.50.

Solo Med regatta (III)

This competition, established in the racing calendar of the class in southern Europe and qualifying for the Mini Transat, has covered a total of 700 nautical miles across the Mediterranean.
