A sea open to everyone with the support of the Federació Catalana de Vela
The objective of the collaboration between both entities is to grow the practice of sailing in our country, making it more inclusive, training new generations and supporting and promoting athletes and competitions with the support of the network of clubs throughout Catalonia.
The FoilCat team
The FoilCat project, which we develop together with the Federació Catalana de Vela aims to promote foiling to Catalan sailors and generate seedlings.
And a good example is the FoilCat women’s team that has emerged from a selection process among all the clubs in Catalonia in which nearly 30 women have participated.
An inclusive sea
Inclusive sailing program developed jointly with the Federació Catalana de Vela that wants to help clubs and trainers ensure that the sport of sailing reaches everyone, without exception.
In addition, it also supports outstanding athletes in the field of inclusive sailing and the Spanish Hansa Championship will be organized together with the Fundación Alex.
The Mini Base
As a result of the agreement between the Base Mini Barcelona, Barcelona Capital Nàutica and now Federació Catalana de Vela, we have created the most important center for training, technification, training, regatta organization and maintenance of Mini 6.50 class boats in the Mediterranean.
Solo Med Regatta 2024
This is a regatta for solo Mini 6.50 boats, which was held from May 6 to 14, 2023. It has been organized by Barcelona International Sailing Center with the collaboration of the Mini Base and the Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, as an organizing club,
Optimist World Championship
We are committed to the future of sailing and collaborate with the Optimist World Championship with sustainable, family, inclusive and educational nautical proposals with the Ballena Alegre Sailing Club.
RC Sailing Barcelona University Regatta
We have created a university scholarship for training in design and construction of a radio control boat aimed at students in the last year of the bachelor’s degree in engineering, to conceptualize, design and build a small-scale competition boat.
The foundation’s regattas
Since 2007, initially as Fundació Navegació Oceànica Barcelona, Barcelona Capital Nàutica has organized and participated in several local and international regattas, including the three editions in 2007, 2010 and 2014 of the Barcelona World Race.
